I've ordered a film, how do I get my digital download materials?
Thank you for bringing us into your classroom! You should have received a PDF license agreement with your purchase. This contains the password to access your title from our downloads page. Can't find your license agreement? Contact us with the name of your institution and we'll resend it!
How do I access subtitles?
You can find .srt files with English and other language subtitles on the download page for the film you ordered. These are also already embedded in the Vimeo file, that link is also provided on the download page.

What does my educational license prohibit?
Your license excludes personal download, commercial or theatrical screening, commercial broadcasting, and transfer or sharing of digital materials with other institutions. Digital files must be kept on your institution's secure server and be password protected, with every reasonable effort made to prevent personal download or piracy.
Can I upload my digital materials to our school's 3rd party streaming platform (like Kanopy, etc.)?
Yes! Provided that your digital materials are password protected and/or limited to use by your students/faculty/staff and not shared with the general public or other institutions, use of 3rd party streaming platforms is allowed under your educational license.
I've already purchased the educational license for MAJOR! Do I need to repurchase?
No. Your MAJOR! educational license already includes digital streaming rights, so there's no need to repurchase. If you've forgotten your download code, contact us with your institution name and we'll resend.
I've already purchased the educational license for Diagnosing Difference. Do I need to repurchase?
No. If you purchased the educational license for Diagnosing Difference prior to April 2020, this was DVD only. If you would like to upgrade your license to include digital streaming, please contact us with the name of your institution, and we'll provide you with a complimentary digital access code!

What does my educational license cover?
We aim to provide the broadest possible educational use with our license, which includes:
- Classroom screening, student group screening, and all on-line learning applications within your institution
- Digital download file for password protected online screening from your institution's secure server as well as access to streaming file via Vimeo
- Full transcript with timecodes and .srt files of English subtitles
- Public performance rights (PPR) for on-campus screenings, including those open to the general public, and university-affiliated off-campus screenings, provided they are free of charge
- ONE (1) PPR for an on- or off-campus screening open to the general public where admission is charged. Additional PPR are available for $75/event, with fee waivers offered for social justice programming or programming that prioritizes QTPOC access. Please contact us with questions.
- This license does not expire and will never need to be renewed.
